Can you not use a browser that supports adblocker?
Can you not use a browser that supports adblocker?
there is an adblockr for the built in Samsung browser but not chrome. there are some browsers with built in ad block. the main issue is the ad is so ott and just plain stupid. I've no problem with the banner ads but these full screen ads on mobile are pointless and will drive people to look for blockers rather than make us buy stuff. the upshot is we see no ads and GM lose money.
Maybe if you ask a Mod to move this thread to the 'Website feedback' section, then the powers that be will see it.
Until then just use Adblock browser or something similar
The adblockers that you can install on the iPhone ( after paying for them ) don't block the current UBS advert
He hasn't got an iphone
I have an iPhone and the ad is taking over my screen when I view on mobile mode hence why adblocker doesn't really work
My reply should have been in response to your comment about using a browser that supports adblocker.
The Ads really should be a click ad - it's shown once then it goes when you click on it
Is it not better on full mode as Phil mentioned in post no. 9?
Which then defeats the object of having a mobile view mode does it not ?
The site isn't the greatest to view on full mode on a mobile phone hence why most websites now have mobile view modes.
Didn't really answer my question though
It did answer your question
Post 9 mentions using the site in full mode which gets rid of the Ad
But using in full mode defeats the purpose of having a mobile mode to use for browsing on mobile phones which a lot of people use. Using the site in full mode is a poor browsing experience on a mobile - which it is on most sites without a mobile view
So using in full mode isnt the answer as the browsing experience is still poor
Ok, I'll try a different question
Which is better, full mode or mobile mode?
Really Bob ?
The answer is still the same
Right now mobile is better BUT still poor because of the ad
Just as Full is poor because you are using a mobile ( hence why sites have mobile viewing )
So either way which ever you use it's still a poor browsing experience - if the ad was less instrusive then it would be a good browsing experience ( which websites are supposed to be )
No matter which way the question is asked right now for people on certain devices the experience of viewing the forum is degraded - I'm pretty sure you get the picture.
Not really, there's an add in the way
Can a Mod move this thread to 'Webste feedback' so the GM staff will see it please
hey I didn't want my thread moved
can It go back please.
