Just looking for some feedback really (I know different techniques work for different people)

Chipping Im fine with - thanks bob! - However struggling with my pitching.

What is you set up / fundamentals when pitching?

Ive read contradicting reivews re

set up ie weight on front / back foot

arms in front of ball vs not delofting the club.

Wrists quiet vs hinging.

Typically Ive been setting up: with

ball in middle of feet

Weight equal across feet

Hands sqaure to ball

On takeaway, keeping my left arm (right handed) straight, whilst hinging my wrists

Down the range Ive been ok - dropping ball within a foot of a 50 yrd marker using a Vokey 50/08

however this is off a solid flat service opposed to the course - which I find Im thinning a lot of shots.

Someone has mentioned that I maybe looking up to soon, which could affect me following through

Any feedback would be great, as this is an area Im struggling with! (Im down the range later)

Cheers fellas.

I keep it very simple....

Weight on the front foot, ball in the middle and drive the power from the core keeping the arms, wrists and hands very quiet.

I used to be far more technical with my pitching but a lesson a few years back changed everything about my short game and made it much more simpler.

Hope this helps

If it helps (it probably won't!) I have the following (which seems to work:

Ball towards the back of my stance

weight probably 60/40 favouring my front

Hands infront of the ball (so my left arm and club shaft form one continuous straight line.

Left arm always kept straight (right handed) and depending on distance I'll either; a.) de-loft the club slightly and give a "punchy" action if I'm looking for a low flighted one-bounce-and-check from 20-40 yards.

or

b.)More of a full (more 3 quarters) "normal" (i.e. like my regular, terrible, loopy swing) swing using the loft of the club if it's from 45-80 yards.

Obviously this all depends greatly on where I am and what obstacles lie in front of me! Sometimes it's more of a "swing and see what happens"!

I try to put as much weight on my front foot as I can without losing balance when I swing. Ball varies from middle to back depending on how high I want to hit it.

Length of backswing varies with length of shot but normally around waist high, lots of wrist, keep hands ahead of club and follow through towards target.

I'm off 11 though so take with a pinch of the proverbial.

I tend to set up pretty even with maybe a 55-45 ratio to the left with the left foot slightly open. I tend to play it on feel rather than a particular swing length for a set distance. If I want to get it high I try and keep the face pointing at the target for longer and if I want it to come in lower and bounce and then spin I just move it half a ball back
