Well as some will know I smashed up my leg and hip(surgeons own words). I hope to be back on course by August, all being well. As it stands at the moment I can hit balls ok. But still required a crutch to add walking.
Ive decided to turn the 12 month layoff into a positive, by building a near as possible text book swing
Im working on a preshot/set up, that is both reliable and puts me square to the ball every time The main parts being alignment the ball 3 balls back from front foot. The back foot widening or narrowing the stance so moving the position the ball appears forward or center etc. This gives a divot 2.5/3 inches infront of the ball position. I also check the club face angle parallel to the ground and at 90 degrees back. Oh I also make sure it's a one piece takeaway. I've found my wrists hinge starts after the club reaches the parallel. I make sure my weight remains on the inside of the back foot. Also I stop my arm swing exactly the same time as my shoulder turn. A 90 shoulder turn puts the club just past the three-quarters position. Don't think I have missed anything other than ball position for driver off the front heel.

A lot of writing for something that takes no more than 20 seconds to do. I'm after getting it off so pat that it comes naturally with no thinking on the course.

If I've missed anything please comment thank for reading my ramblings this far.

Best of luck there. Sounds like an awful lot of swing thoughts. Still, as you say, if you have the time then why not and go for it.

Great to here such good progress! Good Luck with it continuing!

I've managed to develop a swing with hardly any leg action anyway!
