Good to see you journos actually writitng instead of driving through the Scottish countryside in your freebie range rover and playing vast amounts of golf. Very good pieces so far but I'd love to see someone decribe what it MEANS to be at the open as both a golfer and journo. How do you mix business (interviewing, reporting etc) with a desire to roll up somewhere and play and imagine you are on Turnberry in the last round or the desire to just go out and watch the golf up close.

In answer to Michael's question 'how will Ryo Ishikawa cope with being paired with Tiger?' probably better than most. His problems will come from the course, not the head; like Rory, he thinks he's bullet-proof.

. . . and please guys, can I have the job as proof reader?
