Trump International Links - Our man 's review

Sounds like a cracking course. All we need now is for GM to weave thier magic and get a deal on a forum meet ;)

Look at what happened to Castle Stuart, within 2 years of us having a meet there they get the Scotish Open.

Ideal venue for the next GM Forum England v Scotland match.

Looking at the website, pictures, and their hopes for it in the future, I'm tempted to go silly and make the long drive up there now while the price is 'relatively' low.

I can see it being almost double that in a few years time.

will give it the tiger review after played it on monday, tee offs every 15 mins, so i expect alot of time spent looking for balls, can i stop myself from getting a few balls off the range esp if they got the trumps logo on for the lads back at our club,

I would love to play it - looks amazing - but probably in 2 or 3 years once it's had time to bed in and the weather is better!

So for my 40th next year it looks like either 3 days at the home of golf; or 3 days in the Highlands at Castle Stuart, Nairn and Royal Dornoch - decisions decisions!!!

You mean for OUR birthday?............I'd be up for a 3 day Scottish jaunt next year.........

I'll be having a Birthday sometime next year so could contribute to a 3-ball.....

Maga local employment, beautiful golf course that looks in keeping with the surroundings.

I'm not sure about kicking people out of their houses though (and i am sure i am not getting a straight story from the tabloids here). Don't know what the outcome of that was.
Anyway, aprt from that, beautuful looking golf course

Anyone recommend any similar hidden gems of similar ilk that might be a bit cheaper ?

Just a wee update from a local re the above points ... local employment - yes he promised this and then took in an IRISH contractor to do the work.
Re the neighbours ... as you are playing on the course have a look over the big mound of earth he, like a spoilt child, decided to dump in front a a lady's house so that she now has no view whereas she enjoyed a sea view for the previous 30 years!! This is the behaviour that made his 'best greenkeeper in the world' Trumps words ... resign as he did not want to be party to this type of behaviour.
Trump will fly his customers in, take their money, fly them out and stick his profits in the Cayman Islands - very little in this for Aberdeen as a city.(Have a look at Skebo Castle and the money it has brought to Dornoch - precious little!)

I will be offered hospitality at the course but, as yet, I am still a little raw at his riding rough shod over the locals. Many of his 'friends' on the councils have now been voted out but too late, the deed is done.
