Hello,
I just wanted to ask peoples advice and see what others had experienced when dealing with the age old issue of damp/wet grass and said moisture creeping up the trouser leg.
I have been looking around on-line and see that there are various claims with water repellent trousers that look just like normal ones. They sound good but do they work ?
So before I actually go and buy some does anyone have any advice or recommendations on the subject ? or is it best to just stick to the trusted waterproofs and a spare pair in the car in case your going for a second round in the afternoon? After a visit to the club house you understand ;)

Thanks

Shorts, pure and simple.

I wear shorts from the end of March though to the end of October. Take a spare pair of socks for after saves getting your troos wet everytime

Nothing worse than Chinos, soak up water like a sponge and take ages to dry.

Stromberg trousers are fantastic when new. Sure they get wet but dry very quickly. In my experience I've seen myself get caught in a sudden downpour mid round. Trousers were dry 5 minutes afterwards.
Suppose any man made fabric will dry quickly and have little seepage.

Yep sports direct.
you dont have to buy outlandish colours ( but thats always fun) but the trousers are reasonable quality
and cheep and dry quickly.
And as a playing partner of mine said last week if they get wet and muddy dont wash just throw away and buy a new pair :)

Does anyone know if the lined water resistant ones from Sports Direct are actually trousers you can wear or just over trousers ?
Having looked they have Jacket and Trousers for £17 Bargain.
Thanks for putting me on to Sports direct I didn't even consider them.
