I took Akie round our course today, it was very wet but open, anyway on the first hole I didnt hit a great teeshot and set off towards my ball. I left my trolley by a ditch and went toplay my shot, then I caught a glimpse of the trolley rolling towards the ditch and toppling into the stream. Not the best start to a round!

I immediately returned it to the locker room to dry out and took out my old pull trolley, after the round I tried it and happily it seems to be ok. Unfortunately my Samsung Galaxy phone that was in the bag appears to be broken :(

Somebody drove their electric trolley into our pond on the 3rd last week :) He was walking along with his mate and started laughing and said to his playing partner

"is that your trolley rolling off over there?"

His mate replied with "No mate mine is there on the right"

"Oh **** its mine!" just as it was too late to save it and it glugged into the lake

He got some right stick when he got into clubhouse after :D

its only a phone :)

take battery out & wrap in paper and put in the airing cupboard... oh wait, we dont have them anymore, put on a radiator wrapped in a normal towel with the battery out

Heard about a guy at a local club and his trolley went in the river along with his phone and car keys which were in his bag. He had to get the AA out to get back into the car. Nightmare !!!!

We were playing a hilly course near Hereford a few years back and stood in the valley bottom about to play when we saw an unmanned trolley and bag start trundling down the hill. We could just make out some players and tried to shout and alert them as it turned right and headed into the woods! They were oblivious for a while and then one of them ran around like a headless chicken wondering where the heck his gear was. We managed to find it and reunite it with its owner but it was quite beaten up.

BTW Louise - did your bag and clubs get a soaking too?

Dry it out thoroughly Louise. Seriously, do not get impatient waiting for it, if you stick in the charging lead and try turning it on you run the risk of frying it. It is a very sensitive electronic device and you really do not want to break it. Do not be like me and break the screen on your Galaxy S3, I popped into a shop today to ask how much for them to order me the new screen for so I could change them over, I nearly had heart failure when the bloke said £180.
