Trevor three putt!!

I had wondered how your clubmates had taken to it, still very few used by amateurs although I am sure some of the chaps I play with would benefit from it. As you said in an earlier post the lag putting must be the hardest bit to master with the unwieldiness of the thing.
Keep us posted on progress.

I'm currently hitting my new pings well on full shots, but still getting used to the feel around the greens with my touch shots, causing a few problems because I am trying to change my chipping technique slightly to a hinge and hold method as well. perhaps I'm trying to many changes all at once. I'm looking forward to the light nights for some serious short game practice.

Glad the devils broomstick weaved its evil magic. Whatever way you cut it and whatever putter you use, any round with no 3 putts is a good one. Could you not raise the anti and make it a box rather than a single bar for the wager

Why are you hinging when you're chipping? This will lead to all sorts of problems. Strong wrists needed - not hinged wrists.
after having a very good short game (with stiff wrists) I began thinning every shot so decided a change might be worth a go. Do you think I should give the new clubs a chance with my usual method?

Rather than changing your chipping style, try loading up the weight onto your left leg. That way, you come down on the ball more which pops it up.
If your weight is 50/50 then you run the risk of not transferring the weight and the club will come through blade first - thus causing a thinned shot.
NB - This is only for chipping around the green and not for full shots.
Padraig H told me to load up the left side when I met him at the London Club and his tip has worked wonders.

I was definitely trying to do this AW, and as you say only for chipping around the green. I have only had the new Pings since Xmas and due to work commitments and playing rather than practice at weekends most of the practice has been full shots at the range. So as I said, light nights will hopefully give me chance to do some serious revision around the greens.
