Last Sunday I should have been 4 over gross. My driving and iron play was like Lee Westwood but my putting was like Lee Evans!!!! :mmm:
As a result of this embarrassing affliction, my old putter has been given the straight on and replaced with my Odyssey 2ball belly putter.
So, tomorrow Matthew, I'm going to be Tommy two putt!! :o

I didn't hole anything of note. On the one hand I did only miss once from inside three feet so holing out was good. Confidence is such a major part of putting that if AW stands there with the devils broom stick and thinks he'll make a few then chances are he will

I still think all these extended putters are mentally admitting defeat,.

Like using the latest driver because it hits it further?

I consider myself a 'pretty good' putter... if I can take that to 'excellent putter' why not give it a try? I'm not trying to correct a weakness, I'm trying to enhance a strength.

There's certainly a negative vibe when you see someone with a belly putter thinking that they've got a putting problem... I don't.......... well not a serious one ;)

Well, 36 points today - I'm well happy with that!

But, the thing I'm most happiest about - NO three putts!!!

Only one and two putts.

For all you doubters out there - the belly putter - get involved!!!

Lol, can't wait to read it.... The anticipation is killing me ;)

On a serious note, I'd like to try one but with a bit of tuition as when I tried it before it just didn't feel right

They do take a bit of getting used to but I find that you can get an almost perfect pendulum motion going with them.

I think that from close range they are excellent. They do, however, take an awful lot of practice to get the lag putting right. So, I think, they cure one problem but create another.
