I actually feel comfortable hitting fairway woods off the deck and having put 4 and 5 hybrids in the bag along with a 3H which goes slightly shorter than my 5W I have gapping I like and a variety of ball flights. I don't see what a 7 wood offers that the hybrids do. My 6 iron to PW I am competent with

got the rouge - found one on fleabay with an x-flex shaft

the hybrid will be banished to the shed and i am not sure about the 2-iron as yet as that is good in the wind

I was speaking to one of our juniors on the range over Christmas about his clubs. He’s gone to 5w 7w instead of 3w 5w as he hits his 3 wood so far it’s become unnecessary.

To be fair to the lad, he hit the 7w further then I hit my driver ?
