36” may be to short.

I think if it’s a major advantage everyone would do it , but they don’t!

Presumably why it didn't happen, although as always people would have adapted. The point being it would remove all doubt about is a putter being anchored or not. At the moment we still have close ups, is it anchored, mutterings etc.

I don't see a problem with the arm lock grip. Other than it looks bloody uncomfortable to me. If they want to putt that way, then fine, crack on. It's not anchoring because you move your arm when you swing the putter. Anchoring meant pinning it to your body, which stays stationary.

I'm sure this has been discussed many times and people usually land upon "putter must be shortest club in the bag".

...and where the 2019 changed rules refer to 'a club length' specific exclusion of the putter is made. So they can't be thinking of limiting the length of a putter any time soon.
