If anyone remembers the old Spaulding Tour Edition balls, can they recommend a modern ball that is closest to it? Since I've got back into golf I've been using Top Flite balls that my father had a stock of, but they were never my favourite ball, and cannot decide what ball to try.

Thanks,

Michael

I would take a good look at the Srixon range of balls such as the Soft feel or ad333, better quality than Top flite and a good price, soft feel around the £12.00 per doz ad333 around £15.00 if you can get them on offer. They play and last well. If you want a softer ball at a similar price check Wilsons dx2, nice soft ball that putts well and is long. It does cut up a bit more though.

I've actually just bought some dx2s to try, on the recommendation of the pro at American Golf. As soon as I'm able to get out on the course I'll let people know how Igot on with them. As forthe Srixons, I had a look at them but there was something about their appearance tht put me off. Can't put my finger on it, but I'm the type of player who has to like the look of their ball.

What are people's thoughts on the Callaway Diablo and ball, as that is another one I'm considering?

Whoa! that site ages me far too much, I've knocked around with a fair few of them in the past also, looked in my practice bag the other day and found a Winfield.I'm sure that was that Woolies own brand? God knows where I found that.
