Last county oom on Sunday just gone. Tough course on a tough windy day.

Leader in clubhouse sat on 1 over. One of last players to come in shot 1 under in the pm to draw level and force a play off.

Put his card in - unfortunately he had not put his handicap on the card!!! DQ.

What a kick in the nuts!!! :(

If this was a county event, why was there no recorder to take the card and check it with the player before accepting its 'return'?

Harsh.

I did hear recently of someone at a club in Sussex being disqualified because their tee off time wasn't recorded but I don't know if this is 100% true.

Its just a club run open which counts to the county oom. Plus I'm just relaying the story 2nd hand.
