I have picked up a second hand TaylorMade Putter with a white finish on the top and back. As seems to be common there are a few chip marks on the white top which could catch the eye a little. I am toying with touching them up but don't want to make it worse with a bad match up. Has anyone repaired / touched up these types of putters? What did you use, was it effective, any tips? Am I better off just leaving it as it is?

Touch up can work with a bit of modelers enamel but getting a 100% match would be hard. Other option would be to build up the layers with a bit of enamel then mask and fully respray over the top. Just don't do what Peter Finch did. He tried using a hairdryer to speed up time between coats and destroyed the insert.

I've used these car paint touch-up pens/brushes on a putter before and worked ok (finish was a bit dubious) but I too have a white TM putter that now needs a few spot touch-ups so please let us know what you use & how you get on
