Top gear presenters named

Car journalism is at present rubbish, top gear started it with its filming of lurid slides etc ... All done by pro drivers.
The issue is they drive the industry to make cars suitable for the journos and not the buyers. When was the last time you got your car and drove it like a race car? Doing a proper 0-60 run is brutal, it is mechanically unsympathetic.
Plus skidding round a circuit is the slow way round !!
I don't think I will bother with either top gear and autocar it is only worth looking at the pictures .... The German AMS test is a load of contrived cobblers as well allowing manufacturers to fettle cars.

Top gear had lost its way + Clarkson and co had become so samey

Evans is a real talent + Coultard and Sabine are good drivers

I think it will be great and a completely different programme to before

We shall see

If they are doing 'the same show' with the new people it will not work. Not enough grumpy old men in the lineup for a car rant show. So they will have to come up with something a 'little different'. We all will have to watch the 1st episode.

I think everyone needs to be realistic and not judge the 1st episode too quickly, sometimes with changes like this it will take a few shows to get its own identity and for the new presenters to settle in.

I really like Chris Harris, happy he's been given a chance on a main format. Unfortunately I can see this turning into Fifth Gear as they might struggle to win over the fans who preferred the previous trio

The road trips will be relatively an easy part to do...
There's a whole phalanx of folk the Beeb can get in to do those...
It'll be down to getting the mix in the studio right...
Looking a little light in that area for me...

The new producer has already left the scene...

It had become old and self indulgent. I think a new team, and a change of direction will be good for the programme. I'd like to see it become more about the cars again and not the presenters showing off

It had become old and self indulgent but for me that's why it worked it was like nothing else on tv.

As long as Chris Evens tries to make a magazine programme about cars I think it will be good and will stand on its own, if he tries to make a copy of the old Top Gear I can only see it being a major major flop.
