Top 3 programs on TV now

My flat pack hotel inspector escapes to the country.

That's what mrs mog watches while doing her Pilates, stretching, and yoga every night.

I read.

For anyone wondering about missing the first series... Don't worry, I missed the first and it made absolutely no difference to my enjoyment of series 2.. Absolutely enthralling... I told the parents about it yesterday afternoon and they watched all 5 episodes last night....

I'd agree, you may miss a little with the back story of the Cottan Character and also Neil Morrisseys. But my wife could not remember watching the first series but she had, so it will not spoil your enjoyment.

just 1. the following. now in season 2, its the only thing on TV i look forward to watching!

I got through most of the 1st series but gave up about 5 from the end. I just struggled with the US mentality of having to make 20 odd episodes based around a simple concept. When the concept can't really carry that many, so you get a lot of 'filling'. I think Homeland was the same as the last series, apart from the final 2 episodes, was quite poor and sort of meandered around a bit aimlessly.

And as for Jonathan Creek, christ, what happened to that! You seen the current ones? Really poor and no where near as good as I remember them. A program based on the concept of someone clever being able to solve complicated crimes, apart from now he does not do much solving of crimes. Last series of Sherlock was a bit like that, but in that the writing and acting is a lot stronger to carry it a bit.

I'd never even heard of it before 2 episodes into series 2, theres no 'connection' to series 1 that makes any real impact on S2 as far as I can see.

I'll be getting S1 after this brilliant series finishes next week

Apart from the sport there is very little I make a conscious effort to sit down and watch

Try some of the suggestions on this thread. There is so much quality TV out there nowadays, often better than movies. So you are missing out on a lot of quality entertainment IMHO

Well after watching the last Line of Duty my initial response was 'eh?'. Even after reading the writers explanation of the plot I am still struggling a bit. Still cracking show and all that.

So now that's finished I need one to add which will be a toss up between Moone Boy, W1A which started last night and Rev which starts again on Monday.

could have been a brilliant and twistful ending but came slightly below the standard of the first 5 episodes, still good but should have been brilliant. I'd like to read the writers explanation, got a link?

I really enjoyed it. The pace of the final program was much quicker than the previous 5 so it was less of a slow burn, but easily the best thing on TV for ages.

Oh and I know it's obvious but spoiler alert below
