Just a little inquisitive here but i bought the new Wilsonstaff FG Tour irons and im just wondering what the advantage of the weight in the toe area is for...The reason i ask is that im hitting these pretty well and im wondering is this the reason...Does anybody know why as a 19 handicap i find it easy to hit a players iron?

I'm guessing its to stop the club being open at impact and therefore potentially hitting a fade or slice right and that the extra weight will help to bring the clubface back squarer

Hmm. I thought that weight was normally added to the heel of the club to counter a fade/slice.

Maybe because it's a "better" player's club, they've added weight to the toe to counter a hook. :D

No, toe weighted promotes draw/hook. A good example of this would be the taylormade r7 draw which is IMPOSSIBLE to slice :D
