Trust your pro. I'm surprised he didn't mention that the change may produce some poor shots for a while. Even a small alteration in the swing of an experienced player can produce some bizarre results for a while. So many players complain of lessons wrecking their game, go back to their old way and guess what? No improvement!

He did say ignore the rubbish shots its for the greater good and yep he said i am over swinging now so definitely taking it easier starting with half swings tonight.

I agree with everyone saying trust your pro, but that shouldn't be mindless trust.

Make sure you understand what and why he's getting you to do stuff- if you are practising the wrong thing when he's not there you'll be doing more harm than good.

Some people are intimidated by their pros and don't like to ask. And some pros (not many, but..) just say the same thing to everyone, so you need to be sure he's thinking about what's best for you.

But once you are happy that you are talking to the right guy, trust him all the way.

It'll work in the long run.

If you are overswinging, make your practice swings 3/4 swings. Then when you hit a ball your body naturally just go up that extra bit without you thinking about it.

Evening Guys,

Dont want to keep going on so will make this the last post on this matter. Went the range to hit 100 balls and feel like i have totally redeemed myself from the first ball to the last there was a massive improvement. Just needed a break and a rant and im back on it.

Just wanted to post really and say thanks to everyone who took the time and gave advice. I can honestly say you werent wasting your time typing as i took it all into account and will use it in the future. Good luck the weekend and enjoy the blizzards.
