Today is the Day...

Thank you for all the support guys, it really is appreciated.

Not the greatest day of my life, but all being well I am going to be here for many years yet.

My diagnosis is Diffuse LargeB-Cell Lymphoma. A common type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. It has not spread anywhere else, and is fully treatable and curable with chemo. That starts tomorrow. Looks like I won't be on the course for a few months, but hey ho, who wants to play in the winter anyway.:D

It's been a crazy five weeks that's for sure.

For those of you playing, have a great day at the HFH. For those that are not, just enjoy this great game of ours wherever you play.

Best of luck with the treatment. Easy for me to say but just take 1 day at a time and you'll be back prowling the fairways before you know it.

Puts a lot of crap into perspective does that. All the very best with the treatment, I hope the medical profession do as good a job of fixing you as they did me.

Good luck with the treatment, don't worry about golf, it'll still be there when you are all better.

I know what difference putting a name to an illness means, fingers crossed for you sir

Just started reading this and for once I was lost for words. Having read your second post, yup it's not your best day, but it could of been a three off the tee day. Dig deep and good luck me man.

PS, have you any golf gear going cheap 😉👍

Thanks Tash. Made me smile. However, my AP2's are only 6 months old so probably out of your price range:rofl:

All the very best with your recovery.

I will ink you in for next years H4H.

Don't know your circumstances but something to maybe look out for is going from feeling "okay" to feeling worse while being treated. Can be a strain mentally, trust the medical professionals. Best of luck. This mad house will be here for distractions!

Good luck with the treatment Steve.

Look forward to seeing you on the golf course again.

Oh and I can't believ you have changed the Mizunos.

I hope all goes well mate, my thoughts are with you.

Keep in touch with us mate.

'What a relief' - is both adequate and inadequate at the same time. So having been through the same sort of worries with my wife over the last 18months and more recently the last few weeks I hope the following strikes an appropriate note - it does with us:

There may be trouble ahead
But while there's music and moonlight and love and romance
Let's face the music and dance

Wish you all the best as you begin your journey, which is always made easier with a good positive attitude, and you have that in abundance.

Keep looking forward!
