To warm?

Really? After the winter we had, and im sure the terrible winter we will have in a few months.
Just enjoy it

its nice but i dont own shorts that would be acceptable on the golf course, so i find it hard to stay cool, my Nike top was stuck to me, so couldnt swing very well, gave me problems during my callaway fitting, but on the plus side got to try the new mack daddy 2 wedges, I WANT A SET NOW! and got to try the optiforce driver, but 5000rpm was not so good!

Bring on the sunshine, we get little enough so I for one celebrate whilst its here, having previously been a member of a club in Florida the heat we have now is perfect, 90% humidity really slows your game down. It's great here just now, enjoy it

i am heading for scotland in 10 days. can't imagine it's too hot up there, is it. my wife doesn't like the heat at all, understandable so given her floral complexion

its 27* today, forecast next 5 days is 23*, 22* 23* 17* 17*, no rain, these are shade temps so pretty comfortable, last 2 are the weekend:whoo:

Only one thing with playing when it's really hot.......getting the glove on and off.

Have ripped a huge great hole in the cuff of the glove trying to pull it on before - a bigger size or non cabretta gloves aren't an option because both feel like wearing a winter mitten.

agreed. I stop wearing one when its sweaty hot.........plus I don't like only one tanned hand

Back in the good old days in NZ just kept it on, didn't seem to make much difference to the putting.

I'd be, inadvertently, chucking clubs everywhere!!!!

Hit a one handed wedge on Saturday, gloved left hand holding the club aloft. Looked like Jack walking his putt in @ The Masters, trouble was this was 120yds away :)

Couldn't keep it on all the time either, it'd be like an old chamois leather after 5 holes!!!! :(

Tad too warm for me today despite the shorts and my shirt out for ventilation.
Sweat running off my spammer into my eyes on a couple of occasions.
My worst bout of hayfever for years - a fault of the late spring apparently and foretold by the experts.
Horse flies (female) in abundance on our course today, cost me a birdie on 12 - it really is tricky trying to putt one handed while hopping around slapping them away from your legs. I'm going to suggest to the committee that we buy a few scabby donkeys and tether them in the worst affected areas.

Rant over

Well, as I'm not likely to be playing anytime soon I'm grateful for the good weather. I'm off work from Wednesday so I'm gonna be sat in the garden with Test Match Special on the radio and a jug full of some rather nice libation at my side. If it gets too hot, I've brought out the kids paddling pool and it's gonna get filled to the brim, then I'm gonna go all Homer Simpson and sit in it with an ice cold beer and a plate full of olives, anchovies etc...... Mmmmmmm Summer....
Sounds like heaven!!! Watch out for those horse flies!! I love the Ashes in the UK its brilliant sport.

Ive played in some v hot countries before including Dubai, Mexico and Africa so I have learned and like to make sure Ive got all the kit I need ready before hand which includes a damp towel or two to keep cool and plenty of fluids in the bag. I make sure Ive got insect and sun creams handy if not on and plenty of gloves as you would in winter. If its really hot then the brolly goes up and I wear a decent set of shades so I can can keep the eyes relaxed. Have some vas ready for certain chaffing areas and pain killers, anti histamines for the headaches/hayfver. Ill even go as far as change a shirt after nine if its really humid to keep fresh. Good shoes light clothes and a hat to hand. If Ive got all my kit done then my mind is relaxed and Im enjoying the day not worrying about the heat and watching the ball fly. Save the beer until you get in perhaps.....:)

Lightweight, breathable fabrics, light shoes, cap, shades, STL, spare gloves, plenty of fluids

I'm still not complaining but jeez the headache I got half way round this afternoon was and still is a killer and me and head aches are rare. I was also drinking plenty of water so it wasn't that.

I love the hot weather.Anything over 15c and the shorts are on.Newcastle city centre today hit 29c,it must have been the hottest day of the year if not many years. However it was horrible travelling on public transport, just too hot,had my top off on way home before a quick round tonight.Maybe that was not such a good idea as I am playing 36 holes tomorrow....Struggled towards the end a bit with the heat, missed 2 holes out....maybe I should have drank all water/juice through the game instead of that AND 2 Stellas..lol.
