To warm?

Range session before a match yesterday and the sweat was literally running off my face. The course itself wasn't as bad as less physical to some extent (walking between shots) plus there was a light breeze which helped.

On Saturday a couple of people said to me "bet you suffered with your fair skin" which was weird as I'm far from that and a tanner rather than a burner!

36 holes on Wednesday and was pleased to see the forecast is for it to be a lot cooler that day.

Forecast was for 24* here today and it's reading 28 on the car while driving!
Went to the course for a quick 9 and it was roasting. Extra fluids in the bag and used the umbrella just for the shade. Loving it!

Well, as I'm not likely to be playing anytime soon I'm grateful for the good weather. I'm off work from Wednesday so I'm gonna be sat in the garden with Test Match Special on the radio and a jug full of some rather nice libation at my side. If it gets too hot, I've brought out the kids paddling pool and it's gonna get filled to the brim, then I'm gonna go all Homer Simpson and sit in it with an ice cold beer and a plate full of olives, anchovies etc...... Mmmmmmm Summer....

Never been too warm on a golf course (yet!) Always keep a couple of bottles of water in the bag and top them up as I go past the drinking fountains, and walk in the shade (not the reason I miss fairways!) where possible!

25 degrees + , cold beer and this for a view next weekend in Donegal...... ach go on then!

Wow that is stunning...

Last few days I have popped a bottle of squash in the freezer overnight and after about 9 holes it is like nectar and still ice cold (still alot of ice in fact). The thing that bothers me most is how sweaty my gloved hand gets and a couple of sore spots on both hands at the moment.

Plenty of hand cream when you come in Amanda, I get a couple of red areas on my hands if I stay on the practice fairway too much, when I come in afterwards our toilets have both soap and hand cream dispensers which are great as it is a good wee reminder.

BTW, not bad for a mobile phone pic :)
Took it last year, the weather has been like that for each of our annual visits '11(June),'12 (May) and is set to be the same this (weekend) year too.
Cant wait!!

It is hot but it is glorious.
My only complaint is how hot my feet get after the round. If I leave them to cool down it takes a couple of hours.
Might have to start bathing them in cool water.

But apart from that, pretty good.

courses I have played have been in good condition too!

Have fun! Good point about the hand cream as tend to remember it in winter but not summer. Most ladies changing rooms have some so no excuse...

Was so hot yesterday all my drinks were red hot by 6 or 7th and i ended up having to wipe my face on my headcovers!

So the basis of any golf related weather thread is I can't play in this weather because:

- Its raining to much
- Its to cold
- Its too hot!

Perhaps indoor bowls in a regulated temperature thus avoiding any weather conditions is more the sport that should be chosen!

I'll take this lovely weather and be out playing in it any day. All you need is a hat, shorts, suncream and plenty of fluids and what better way is there to spend the day

Hahahahahaa, that would have been a sight to see.

Mate of mine said the worst thing about being bald is nothing stops the sweat from dripping down your face.
(I'm not saying you're bald, it just reminds me of his constant sweating!)

Don't enjoy warm weather at all... Unlike others my arthritis flares when it gets hot/humid... Won't be venturing out whilst its like this... Might be giving my newly acquired bus pass a run out instead...
