TM Tour Preferred

Hi Homer,
When i posted about the wilson staff FG Tour irons i was told that because im off (20) at the time that i wouldnt be good enough for them.
Well iv demoed a set and iv fell in love with them. These are proper tour irons also and i have no problem hitting them. I think that if you like the look of an iron then it will give you more confidence over the ball.
My opinion.... get them and flake them you wont know until you try and if you cant you can always sell them on.

Homer does the box have scapes and skid marks where it fell off the back of a lorry? Also make sure you check your local Police force stolen register, reset is also a crime you know! :D ;)

Give them a whirl then, you'll never know otherwise.

Whats £100 brick on the NHS, 1/2 hour?

Andy

I dont think anyone can tell anyone they cant hit irons because of the spec off them if you hit them and the go where you want what is the problem. IMO all this the clubs are too good for me is a load of old twaddle have a shot with anything and if it works it works.

and if it dont what you lost....

Its all about the clusb that suit the individual.

If that makes sense :D ;)

Ditto :) :)

Beware they may be a bargain in money terms, but you don't want to waste months trying to break them in, and setting your game back. If you don't get on with them pretty quickly, flog them, and get some shiney Mizuno's !

On a serious note without any sexual favour innuendos. In your OP you ask if it's a good players club 7 or lower. Do you really see that much difference between yourself and a 7 handicapper?

I mean you say you've got a shocking short game, and everybody knows you're loopy, hence the trip to the pyschologist, sorry mental coach. ;)

My point is - some part of your game must be half decent for you to be hovering around 11. I wouldn't try to classify the clubs too much, just buy them see if you get on with them and if you don't, I'll buy them off you for mates rates :)

So anyway, what was this favour? x

Has it ever occured to you to keep a set of clubs for more than a week?

Chopping and changing cannot be a good long term strategy to get to single figures.

Your R9s would be fine for this, you hit them ok, why change?

Can't resist a bargain? Like a woman at the sales? I know it doesn't fit, but it is cheap, look I have saved £100 by buying it?

Or on the flip side of the coin he buys them at an absolute bargain price, then sell them on immediately for £200 and make a 100% profit and he onto a winner!

Buy em and punt em thats what I would do!

No innuendos involved sadly. My father in law is a driving instructor and I managed to get the pro's son a great rate on block bookings for intensive lessons to pass his test and as he passed first time its his way of saying thanks. These have been hovering around his storeroom unsold and so and he knew I liked them hence the favourable rate.

Will give them a bash and see how they go. At the end of the day I'l get more than my outlay on e-bay so it has to be a win-win and there are always the R9's to fall back on. I'll flog the Tour Burners and they'll cover the cost anyway
