TM Daddy Long Legs - Counterbalance

I tried the Daddy Long Legs when I was being fitted for my driver at the TM Academy at the Belfry and it felt great. I've wanted one ever since but something else just as expensive has always popped up so its gone on the backburner. Followed a few on the dreaded Bay but as Rod says, the paint work always looks a bit ropey.

I will get one soon.

I have recently swopped to a counterbalanced ping Scottsdale putter (38")
I went for the ping as I got it for a bargain price & I liked the feel of it.
I am getting on with it very well at the moment.
It remains to be seen what it will be like on hard fast summer greens, but I particularly like the feel of the evenly distributed weight of it.

There's no substitute for practise on the putting green and working on your issues. It's not the club, it's who's on the end of the club that's the problem, so all your doing is admitting that you can't putt or can't be bothered on working at it.

What does that have to do with trying something new ?

That's not strictly true is it? There are differing putting styles, therefore some putters are more suitable than others.

Practice is important but so is using a suitable putter.

Bit harsh and generalistic. I think the OP is just looking at a different model and being a single figure player I'd suggest he's probably an OK putter

Happy to admit that I am a awful putter, even though I do put in the practice, I have never had a putter that I am fully happy & confidant with, hence me trying something different like a counterbalance putter.
So far, so good.

No i don't think I'm being harsh at all. If he's a single hc player then he has the ability to putt, so whatever his problem is I'm sure a bit of work on the green will overcome his woes or get a lesson from a pro to see what the issue is. Changing equipment seems to be the first resort, but if that's his preferred way then go with it. Just my opinion which I'm entitled to.

Well I won't have a lesson nor do I have woes or problems etc etc

I just fancy a change

Thanks for sharing, it's not really what the thread was about, but cheers. Have you been reading Homers blog??

counterbalancing is not a new phenomenon. Jack Nicklaus used it in all his clubs.

it is not a replacement for touch around the greens, nor a crutch for poor putters.

I reckon you should have a word with Shane Lowry then as he is using the same one I've had

Bit ragged at the moment - mainly judging pace at the moment -

Not sure what you mean by this then but it certainly suggest you are having a few problems which means theres a little bit of a contradiction between this post and your last. Think you need to make your mind up. Anyway I think I'll bow out and leave it to you to sort.

That it's winter and with the softer slower greens it takes me a bit of time to get used to the slower pace on the greens. But that's not why I'm contemplating give a CB putter a go and it's certainly not an issue or woes or problem etc etc
