Just recently while playing I've started getting calf and knee pain on the back 9, the next day I can hardly move. Just recently I played 27 holes, 20 holes in my golf really suffered, my knees nearly gave way. I've been docs had test no problem. So this winter gonna work on fitness, etc. any1 else had these problems? Or tips on exercises to do?

Is your course hilly or cambered in any way?
Are you generally fit?
Do your shoes fit properly.

I suppose I'm saying it could be a lot of things but the fitter you are the easier it will be.

Not excessively hilly, its been the last 4-5 times out. I'm 40, not overweight. Don't excercise a lot, but at the mo I couldn't play 2 days in a row! It's just the knees and calf muscles.

Get medical advice. Could be any number of things but better sorted sooner rather than later. Winter fitness will help (and your overall well being) but if it's a physical problem with the body, even exercising could aggravate the problem
