Always said I'd never use a trolley as I'm still young (30) kind of! and I'm pretty fit so always carried.

But after feeling tired and my back starting ache more and more after a round I gave in today and borrowed my old mans powakaddy twinline 3.

Well my back is nowhere near as bad, I don't feel as tired and I played a lot better.

So time to bite the bullet and stop being so stubborn and get a trolley and cart bag. I'll still keep my carry bag for when I'm just playing 9 holes or out for a quick round on my own.

So what trolleys/bags everyone recommend? After just a push trolley as I ain't lazy/rich enough for a electric one!
 
I always found carrying to be a burden, you lose a lot of energy towards the last stretch of holes and you shoulders start to ache more and more, which isn't good for you swing.

Started using a trolley and found I started playing better, it was only a cheapo one, but when it died I decided to be lazy and brought a Power bug electric - I was never tired again!

I've just got a clicgear 3.0 push trolley for Xmas as I don't need to worry about charging and lugging around a heavy battery, it is always nice to hit a drive straight down the middle and strut towards your ball with the trolley doing all the work though
 
Well you've sampled the Twinline 3 - look no further in my opinion.
I've had 3 different bags on mine - all held steady so pick one you like. I'm sure it'll go on the trolley.
 
I certainly think that a push trolley is one thing that it is worth spending a bit extra on. I have bought cheap trolleys and they are harder to move about and have not lasted. Twinline 3 is good, Clicgear are great and you can pick up the older models at cheaper price. The Stewart push trolley is also very good indeed. Thing is, there is actually not that much of a price difference between a top end push trolley and a budget model electric one.
 
Deffintley liked the twinline 3 but the clicgear looks a bit more flashy but not sure it warrants the extra money.

Anyone know what the motocaddy s1's are like?

If you can go up to £150 plus carriage, I've got a Powakaddy classic 2nd hand including battery for sale. It is about 5 years old, but still does 18 holes.

Had 1 for years, I had a battery replaced after 10 months under warranty but other than that it's been a great trolley.
 
I had a go with it in the store and it felt very well built, they were also out of stock a few months back so must sell well. If you have a DG nearby go and have a look, for me it was a toss up between that and the twinline 3 but hands on that felt a lot smoother and better built.

Like you say though with no reviews its hard to gauge if it will last

Sorry just after a push trolley as I'd always forget to charge it, I have enough trouble trying to remember to charge my gps!

I've gone completley the opposite way :mmm:

I used to trolley all my gear on my Powakaddy leccy trolley and always thought carrying was a burden.

Man how wrong was I!!

Since switching to carrying I am enjoying the game more than ever. I don't have to prat about with a filthy trolley after every round and, here's the weird thing, since switching I have had no lower back issues.

Previously I used to suffer with a stiff lower back for days after trolleying my equipment. Now I don't. I have no idea why, and to be honest I don't care, I'm just glad my back issues are gone :whoo:
 
I would try one for another few rounds, one good round could well be coincidence. I carry and still manage to shoot reasonable scores most weeks, I tried a trolley and it made no difference over the 6 months I had it. Cleaning, storing and charging was a pain in the ass.
(Nevermind the combined damage they cause to the course in the wetter half of the year)
