Time to admit defeat!

hate to be a nit picker but........you say yourself that diabetes curtailed your ability to complete a round of golf enjoyably. Surely that makes your condition a disability?

I would argue Faculty would be a better term rather than disability.

Either way I don't see diabetes as a disability

Debilitating certainly? Most of my family has/had diabetes and as it progresses it does become more of a disability as it prevents you doing things that you used to take for granted. Eyesight failure is certainly a disability and is one of the problems caused by diabetes.

Jan last year I took my 2 pull trolleys and 1 electric trolley to the dump and ..erm..dumped them. Needed to get fitter and lose some tummy weight.
The wet summer meant it was a hard slog at times and I was very tired near the round end especially if it was raining or I was playing badly.
Borrowed a friends electric trolley for some matches and concentrated on the shot instead of the slog of lifting the sodden bag over my wet shoulders again.
Tummy size increased so proper exercise is demanded and I bought a cheap electric trolley again for the 2012 season.
Still not got a cart bag yet lol

My best mate is a type 1 diabetic. He was first diagnosed 25 years ago.
At that time he was a very good golfer ( 4 hcp )
He's now had to give the game up due to nerve damage in his hands which means he can't even grip the club.
Sad.
So I'd say diabetes is an illness which can certainly develop into a disability.

I have the twin line 3 and have no problems with it all,
It is sturdy, easy to push and light,
Also takes a set of standard hedgehogs.

One other thing to consider is a storage bag , unless you want to mess up the inside of your car big time
There isn't one specifically for the twin line , but I tried the standard powakaddy one at American Golf and it fits
easily, costs about £20

As regards the mass debate on carry/ trolley
There is simply no right or wrong, it's down to personal preference , nothing more

Fragger

Motocaddy S1 lite is a nice trolley. I have seen a few of these around the club. It is the same as my S1 digital, just with all the electrical bits removed like the battery and motor. Also do a nice big bag to sit on it also. The accessory unit that goes on it is very good also. Unlike other trolleys you can have a GPS, Brolley holder, Drink holder and scorecard holder all fitted to it at the same time. NOt sure of your budget but may well be worth a look at.

Powerbug Sport. Ideal for me. It does the job its designed to do, can't ask for more in my book.

Always said I'd never use a trolley as I'm still young (30) kind of! and I'm pretty fit so always carried.

But after feeling tired and my back starting ache more and more after a round I gave in today and borrowed my old mans powakaddy twinline 3.

Well my back is nowhere near as bad, I don't feel as tired and I played a lot better.

So time to bite the bullet and stop being so stubborn and get a trolley and cart bag. I'll still keep my carry bag for when I'm just playing 9 holes or out for a quick round on my own.

So what trolleys/bags everyone recommend? After just a push trolley as I ain't lazy/rich enough for a electric one!

Clicgear are really good, easy to use, they have a brake, great umbrella holder (you can actually walk upright under it), folds up really small and quickly.

Picked this up in AG for about 100 GBP back in July
