Tigers sore back....

There was absolutely no need for him to play. He would have been better going home and doing some light training with plenty of physio work.

Falling to your knees theatrically surely hurts your back as bad as just standing still!!?? I'm sure something is wrong but he must be milking it!!

There was some shocking play last night coming down the stretch, some proper chopping going on!!

Hopefully, that won't be construed as a sexist comment ;)

oh God, Monday morning and out come the 'we hate Tiger posts'...............this is really getting tedious:(

So highlighting his play acting is hating ?
I've suffered with back problems for almost 25 years, so i'm well qualified to comment on the subject. If his back was genuinely going into spasm, he would struggle to stand upright, let alone smash his 3 wood almost 300 yards. As Tomo pointed out, it was "pure theatre".
Coincidence that his back went into spasm once he realised where the ball was heading, and not whilst in the process of hitting the ball ?
Falling to your knees would be unbearable if your back was genuinely in spasm.
As has been pointed out many times, if you don't like the comments, don't read them. I'm sure you knew by the title that it was a Tiger thread, and not everybody shares your love of the man.

Here we go, monday morning and out come the paranoid Tiger lovers. "we love Tiger" "we love Tiger" "we love Tiger"

Did I say anything about "we hate Tiger" did you say anything about You love Tiger.......I just happened to be Tiger that done it. A shame, but it was Tiger who was acting like a fool. It was cringe worthy the way he was leaning on his club.

Who knows how bad it was but finishing second and nearly forcing a play-off shows just how good the man is, most players would have used it as a get out of jail card after shooting +8 or there abouts.

And you are a professional sports person training 5/6 days a week on his fitness? How can you possibly know what back problems are like for someone who is incredibly fit compared to the average person?

Definitely a bit of play acting as a result of a bad shot. Strange he managed to still get it round well enough to nearly win the thing. I've had sciatic trouble in the past and impossible to swing and others have already said they've experienced back issues and moving and standing is an effort. Hard to imagine being able to launch it miles doing something that loads stress on the spine if the back is already suffering. I would suggest he will be out playing next week and then if he has a bad opening round he'll pull out citing his back

Funny. Never saw it officially mentioned that Tiger's back had gone into spasm.

It did look a little OTT but then anytime someone drops to their knees it tends to look that way.

The last time my back went in to spasm I ended up married!!

The wife got the wrong idea when I dropped to my knees :D
