Ok, so maybe the Daily Mail headline is a little over the top but it appears that the next gen consoles will not have a TW PGA golf game next year.

According to EA sports there will be a PGA game though. First pic is below ....

The new screen shot looks great. The Tiger Woods name has never bothered me as I only play with my custom character anyway. I hope he will still be in the game though.

I hate all unlock level challenges on these games, such a waste of time, I don't feel like its an achievement etc... Just give me a snipers rifle, and 9mm on COD and i'll find a dark corner and get emails from little nerds about camping ;). Or just let me play football, but even that has got skill unlocks, it's such a pain in the butt.... It's a computer game give it all to me, why must I waste my life trying to get to an enjoyable point in the game?

Because the spotty little nerds that are emailing you want that kind of thing as it gives them a sense of achievement other than not touching themselves for an hour!

Easiest way around it is wait a week or two for one of the nerds to do the donkey work and get an upgrade patch from them. :whoo:

I doubt Tiger would appear in the future EA game, after-all why would he let them use his likeness if they are not paying him handsomely for it. Wouldn't surprise me to see somebody else pick up the Tiger endorsement ... and that would hopefully be a good thing for golf games as the EA franchise was becoming a little stale with no competition.

Of course EA using the standard in game purchases to get all the courses was a big let down for me, and that's probably the reason for the declining sales these last few years. Personally I've not bought a new Tiger game for a few years, much better option for me to pick them up second hand when the price has fallen through the floor :)
