Tiger Woes ??

Only time will tell if he wins another major. He's got as good a chance as anyone. He must still be half decent to have got back to the #1 spot.

Caroline?

You tell me what Tiger has on his side that every other player doesn't?

Ill answer it for you... 14 Major wins, the strongest mindset on tour and the fact that he is the greatest player to ever play the game.

Will you video the glove eating and post it on here or will there be an arranged meet where we can watch it?

I agree with this post with the exception of the BIB. He is not.

Look on the bright side. At least you won't have to watch Tigers Woods and may get to see some other players in action tonight, as he has failed to make the final day cut! :)

Just looked on the PGA webpage and he has not started yet.............Please don't tell me they are putting him out later to catch the cameras

This is the 14th tournament on the PGA Tour this season and the first one Tiger has played in. It is also coincidentally the longest thread we have had that has been sparked by any tournament so far. And people wonder why the TV cameras are always on tiger

Like it or not, love him or loathe him, Tiger is big news in golf, always has been and for the foreseeable future, always will be.

I'm delighted that he is not in the coverage!!!

Why anyone thinks this baffles me. Best player - definitely of the generation, arguably of all time - I want to watch him play.
I want to watch his own game and watch players step up to challenge & beat him.

Tournaments are the poorer for his absence.

The above is based purely on golf. If you want a popularity contest, watch X Factor or some other junk.

 My thoughts exactly

I like to watch the best in any sport playing so Woods in an event is always worth watching. I can't help thinking we had exactly the same thread last year except the word McIlroy was substituted for Woods. Looks like he has got his act back. With Woods and his injuries I expect to see him play a reduced schedule and try and be in best condition come Augusta, US Open and the Open which is only a short window. Plenty of time to work on his game in private and play the odd tour event to get everything ticking over. He won't be Jack's record (in my own opinion) but he will win another major, and Augusta would be a good bet

I agree,I don't think he'll beat Jacks record but I wouldn't be surprised if he adds another 2 to his record.

Twelve months ago TW was hacking around in Abu Dhabi and missed the cut. Next tourney was the Farmers and he won. Wouldn't surprise me if he did very well in Abu Dhabi next week.

Love or hate the TW coverage, the fact is that his appearance really helps to keep the money flowing in the game.
