In a press release from Williams, the New Zealander said he was informed after the AT&T National that he would no longer be caddying for Woods, news that surprised the veteran looper.

“After 13 years of loyal service needless to say this came as a shock. Given the circumstances of the past 18 months working through Tiger's scandal, a new coach and with it a major swing change and Tiger battling through injuries I am very disappointed to end our very successful partnership at this time,” Williams said.

“I have had the opportunity to work of late for Australian Adam Scott and will now caddie for him on a permanent basis. Having started my caddying career with Australian great Peter Thompson and working for Greg Norman in the (1980s) I am excited about the future working for another Australian.”

Whichever way you look at this, and all of Woods's life decisions, he's a total sh*t.

Not really much of a surprise though, is it? Woods has been with Williams since '95, so that's 16 years with the same caddy whereas other golfers are known to chop and change. Tiger's going through the worst spell of his career and is probably in the midst of changing his game. If he wants a clean break and a fresh start on the course, then now's the time to do so.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if he tried to lure Fanny Sunesson onto his bag, although isn't she supposed to be quite close to Kaymer?

Steve came to our club in 2009 as part of our centenary celebrations and he comes across as a top bloke, no airs and graces away from the course. Good on ya Mate

He wont get so much time racing now with Adam playing more down under than Tiger, but then again Tiger did/does a lot of playing down under !!
