TIGER NOT TO WIN ANY MORE MAJORS??

I don't think he will. Why? Because I don't think he has the complete faith in his swing that he had in his pomp. There's glimpses in each round but not enough for four days of a major championship.

This, of course, may change but I agree with Jezz's comments on Tiger's body slowly degenerating due to the stresses and strains placed upon it from such an early age. We often say that watching Watson, Couples, etc swing a club is so great because their swings are effortless. Tiger puts a fair amount of wallop into his swing and that gusto and energy won't be there for ever.

Still think he's a cracking player but I think his best golf/years are behind him.

i don`t think anything is impossible in this game ..if anyone had said that in nov 2009 .tiger in 18 months u be out of top 5 in world - no one would believe it and and certainly not put money on it ...so never say never !!what i can`t fathom out is - how he suddenly lost his putting , from being the best`par` putter - to some what average from 3/4 feet ,seems very strange to me - only the people around him would know the answers to that one i suppose , but it seemed to be after all the press attention on his`doctor ` that was looking after his knee ! strange

I think he has one maybe two majors left and both I think will be Masters where to a greater degree he can get away with wild tee shots and he still has a strong enough short game and putting touch (plus experience on the greens) to make a good score. The way US Open and USPGA courses are set up now with penal rough won't help him and I just don't think he's got what it needs around a links course anymore.

I agree with Jezz and don't see him being around much after 40. His body won't take that sort of punishment forever and he's already had major surgery more than once. If he wants to continue it'll take a monumental swing change to give himself less stress on the body and will he have the hunger (or go back to Harmon) to do it.

I agree, I dont think he'll win another major.

I could really see him calling it quits after another year or so if his game does not come back. Another year without a big win and suddenly the big sponsorship contracts (well those who have stuck with him) drop off, as the results from a couple of years ago cease to count, he plumetts down the rankings and I cannot see him pitching up week in week out as world number 15 or whatever. In the GM interview he admits that his knee is shot so he can never swing like he used to and if it becomes clear that he is unlikely to take the Majors record I can see him walking away from the game.

Until he finds his touch on the greens I can't see him winning at all.Doesn't seem to totally trust the new swing yet but even the old Tiger had the occasional destructive shot but could be relied on to make enough birdies/par saves to keep him in the tournament.
At the moment he isn't making enough putts to get him in the top 10.

I cannot see him hanging around much after this season if he doesn't win anything, he never seems to keen on coming anywhere other than first
is this a good or bad trait?? with so many journeyman pro's quiet happy & willing to make a great living just making cuts / isnt it good too see a true pro to who winning is very important ,, or does mr woods take wanting to win to an extreme.. mayb if he had better personality like Phil more people would wish him to beat the record?? yeah / no??

I honestly think he'll pack it all in within a couple of years.I don't think he'll win again and certainly no more Majors. He's completely lost the Aura he had - most of the rest of the field were beaten before a ball was struck in the past. Now almost everyone in the top 100 knows they can beat him - and they will.
He hasn't strung 4 decent rounds together since winning the BMW in Sept 09 with the exception of the Masters last year.
Irrespective of whether he's rebuilding his swing, his driving is all over the place, his putting has gone South and he doesn't have the touch he used to around the greens. Hardly a recipe for winnng.
Just my opinion of course but only time will tell.

I'm with GB72 & Imurg - he's a gonner, and I cant see him pitching up for long if things dont come back soon.

I hope thats the case anyway, cant stand the guy, as everyone knows surely.

I can see Kaymer dominating the game for a while, and being a difficult chap to shift from No1.

Oh, and there is ABSOLUTELY no chance that Michael Schumacher will win the F1 World Title again either, with young kids at home, his priorities are far too overbearing to allow his mind the freedom to take the risks required.
As well as that, he's way too old now, and his reactions way off the pace.
Even if he was in the Ferrari.

I've said all along (way before the problems in his personal life) that I don't think Tiger would beat Jacks record of major titles.
And I'd quite happily put a decent amount of wonga on it
