I mean that’s a completely irrelevant point. If he’s taken or taking opioid or codeine based pain meds he shouldn’t be driving anyway.

You may well be but Tiger seems to have issues driving and we don’t know the levels he’s taking. I’ll stick to my opinion that someone taking high levels as he been caught with in his system before shouldn’t be driving

Comes back to if when someone has medical issues or starts to take significant painkillers that the NHS should let the DVLA know and license suspension etc

The Sheriff in his statement said:-
"They did several tests on him," Budensiek said. "He did explain the injuries and surgeries that he's had and we did take that into account, but they did some in-depth roadside tests."
"There is a statute which he will be charged with for refusing to take that test, but we will never get definitive results as to what he was impaired on at the time of the crash."

So he was deemed to be impaired by the roadside tests even given his injuries, we will never know what he was impaired by.

It really doesn’t come back to the DVLA or NHs because we’re not discussing you or an incident that happened in the UK. We’re discussing Tiger Woods , man with a proven legal history of testing positive for having excessive Opiod pain relief in him at the time of an accident.

Also the fact you can see he’s a mess, the sheriffs said he was impaired, refused a Urine test to disprove he wasn’t off his tits and was found with loose ones in his pocket makes it a safe assumption to be that he was in no fit state to drive and clearly had an issue.

But on your point, I’d also so suggest the NHS and DVLA are sometimes known to be wrong in their judgement. My Dad was on strong opioid pain relief during his cancer treatment and Dr’s deemed him safe and fit to drive. I can promise you he wasn’t fit to be behind a wheel when taking them despite the Dr saying he could drive. We took his car keys off him as you could see he was impaired, slow to react and not safe, he was and would’ve been a danger to himself and other road users. So my opinion is based on personal experience, yours maybe different but you won’t change my mind.

I'm talking judging innocence or guilt of a charge. Besides...very rare are the times I get into the car of someone of whom I know little or nothing - never mind of their driving past. But I think I'd be able to judge and tell if someone was going to be DUI. My choice of action is often based upon judgement - and where there is doubt I often don't make that judgement through self-will.
