I totally agree with parental responsibility, but there’s a line whete parents no longer have that control and, imo, society should step in.A lot I agree with and a lot I disagree with there.
I wrote a long response but I think it just dilutes the thread. All I’ll say is yes he moves the needle, the tour have been to soft for to long and allowed him to much power and leeway.
We want kids to emulate sporting heroes on the field of play to a large extent it’s how they learn. But off the field it’s our responsibility to ground them and teach them right from wrong. So they should be taught how to behave differently off the pitch and about consequences of actions. The 2 have similarities but ultimately are very different in how they’re handled, policed and the repercussions of decisions.
Prisons are full of people whose parents did a good job.
