So, we have a wedding to go to on the 4th June. We don't really know the couple *that* well, more "friends of friends" but we do the pub quiz with the most weeks...anyway...I found out yesterday where the reception is going to be....

It's at The Belfry :D

It would be rude to NOT arrange a round of golf whilst we're up there, wouldn't it?

Is either the bride or groom golfers? You may get a pre and post wedding round in!

Just to be warned about the Bel Air....meat market when I went (but then you might like that ;))

As far as I know, I'll be the only golfer there :(

Not playing would be torture.

I had a 2 day conference at East Sussex National a few years back - glorious weather....no time for golf...not happy

My concentration was shot as I kept longingly staring out the window

You say "we" have been invited. In that case I'm fairly certain that legally and morally as long as your other half attends some part of the ceremony and reception you yourself are entirely free to enjoy whatever amenities, such as famous Ryder Cup venues, that might be available in the proximity. I'm no lawyer but I am a golfer so I'm pretty sure that's right.
