Things That Gladden The Heart

The only thing we weren't keen on was the amount of dead little chicklet corpses lying around in the cages, but luckily my daughter didn't notice those so that saved us a tough explanation. 😬 "Oh those are just the bird's cuddly toys that they play with!" 😆
Last one I took my grandkids to was brilliant and the mic'd up falconer was a complete entertainer.
But.. he was ever so surreptitious pulling dead chicks out of his pouch.
Thankfully.

What element disappointed? I enjoyed it all, the location, the bar area before and after our meal and the food/service. Been twice now, work and with the Wife. But I will go to Gymkhana sometime this year, fancied it for ages.
The food. Service & ambience were as excellent as expected. But I was expecting to be 'blown away' by the food but wasn't. Just seemed to be not much more than good cooking when i was expecting something extraordinary.

Tonight, I pressed "Send" for a trip to Japan to celebrate the year we are married 50 years and both 75 all in the same year.
I'm halfway between "Things that gladden the heart" and "***** how much!!"
Are you doing a tour? We are looking at doing a Japan cruise next year for wife’s 60th - bit cheaper and means we don’t have to do the unpacking/packing thing every day to move hotels.

My son and I have talked for a while about going to the Principality Stadium in Cardiff to see a rugby game, much easier now that he lives in Bristol. For Father's Day he gave me an IOU for one of the autumn internationals, on general sale today. He has just messaged to say he has got us tickets for the game v New Zealand. I've booked my flight, £63. All sorted, very happy.

Insurance renewal notice for three cars and the house was a stinking/stonking £2500. One long telephone conversation with the insurer found a way of knocking near £500 off it without losing any cover of any great value or importance. Or should this be a random irritation...

Last day of work before a trip to that there London town. Anniversary meal at Tom Kerridge’s restaurant, front row seat at Cabaret, and life size monopoly game thing all planned.
And weather looks great as well 😎☀️
Tom Kerridges last night. Superb meal and friendly staff. Nice touches as it was our anniversary- card from the staff, extra ‘dessert’ and a loaf of the treacle bread we liked to take away 😄

Daughter came in from brownies last night.. "dad can we play everybody's golf"

Ofc we can

3 matches I won 2 and then she beat me on the last one (3 hole match) for the first ever time. I told her bed then because I didn't want a rematch I wanted her to end on a win and she can tell all her friends

Which version is that? I used to play Everybody's Golf a lot, it's actually a better golf game than you'd think to look at it. I think the version I play/played came out in 2017. Is there a new one out?

It was a free download off the ps store. Ps4 version

Havent played much, always loved it back in day. Just use it for the kids as a simple game for them to enjoy

Slowly the twins get into it but eldest almost has the hang perfectly

Sounds like the same game then. It actually gets pretty difficult once you're on the top couple of courses. There used to be a couple more courses you could get through downloaded content that were hard as nails.
