Things That Gladden The Heart

Watching the weather forecast after the 10pm news last night there was mention of the solstice the following day 21st.
It was at that point, just before ascending the apples and pears, that we realised it was our 13th wedding anniversary on the 20th and it was just about over.
No problem, no big deal. We have never bought each other a card or anything.
More significant to us is that on a certain day next month we are 38 years living in this house. :)

Yeh, yeh. But did you?

Joe, the big Ghanaian next door, has a mate staying with him for a while...
As I took some rubbish out to the bins this morning he was washing Joe's car
I, jokingly, said "You can do mine e too if you like " followed by a "just joking"
30 minutes later he's washed my car, done a really good job and would accept nothing but a handshake as a Thank You...."I love washing cars"....
Top Bloke......shame he's going g home tomorrow...The Boy's car needs doing :ROFLMAO:

Jungle Formula Maximum Strength mozzie spray.
We went to a music festival at Kielder Forest over the weekend, the place should be renamed Mosquito Central  All of my friends got bitten to death but we used regular sprays of the insect repellant and we are bite free.
I'm looking at all the messages and Facebook posts showing their bites and I'm sat here feeling a little bit smug 🤣

Don't let your guard down...there's one stalking you...waiting for that one chance...
It's there...waiting, waiting...... :ROFLMAO:

Many years ago (when I started wearing glasses so we are talking 17 years) I started a little health cash plan scheme to cover dentist and eye costs

However the added perks have been most useful over the years

One of the twins doesn't feel well and we think it's a urine infection so I've just called the GP helpline and they will contact me tonight and hopefully get her some meds to help her

Nothing against the NHS I used it all the time but when it's urgent for my kids I don't mind using them , just will have to pay £10 private prescription which isn't bad

Volunteering on Friday to be the parent helper for the kids discovery walk around town , daughter is buzzing that I finally gain help out , her best friends dad is also helping so should be good

Not been on this thread for a while and I was taken to page 1, where I noticed that Homer has been banned. 😮

Was it a football, aimpoint or wedge-prize thread that caused it?
