If you reverse the digits you get 5202.
If you subtract 2025 from 5202 you get 3177.
If you divide 3177 by 9 you get 353.
353 is the 9th prime number between 300 and 400.

I've been drinking too much coffee again.

I cook pretty much everything apart from roast meats. That’s always been Mrs H’s domain. If it’s curry, Chinese, Italian, Spanish, Greek, etc. I cook it. Same with fried stuff - Mrs H doesn’t do frying pans.

I asked if I could do today’s roast pork. Apparently, I am now the god of crackling with a kick. She’s asked what I used… same as always, whatever is on the spice rack. I’ve always just thrown it together using stuff we like.

Went out to an Indian restaurant (Michelin recommended rather than Michelin starred) for a buffet lunch. Was worried that it might be rather quiet on New Year's day. Needn't have worried - it was full to the brim. And was stunning food.

I live next to a church.

This morning realising that the new batch of bell ringers do not want to ring in the New Year.

It could have been that I was so deep in sleep that they did not wake me. Mind you something did at 2.30am (second night in a row).

Also the neighbours let off the fireworks at 10pm.

Yes, days are getting longer and we have Imbolc to look forward to. The half way point between the solstice and the equinox.
It means we are out of the darkest quarter of the year. It is one version of the start of spring based on length of daylight. Feb 3rd this year.
A good time to take down your evergreens (holly, fir etc) that you have strewn around the house.

Well, some of us recognise our Celtic historical traditions.

Love those Meerkats!

Just received my annual car insurance quote:

Last year for a 15 plate Ford Fiesta, £362, this year, a staggering £553! I know prices have increased but that's ridiculous!

So I decided to go on Meerkat compare the market.

An impressive £221 for a like for like policy. Pressed the buy now button and will be calling my present insurers to cancel tomorrow.

I always find their ads a bit annoying but they certainly are worth checking out. 👍
