I may have to contact you in the near future. I had to replace the rubber band on my pioneer system some years ago. It was a royal PITA trying to source one. I think it was from Liverpool.
Oddly enough I was looking on Facebook market place last night at pioneer turntables as I have another deck system in the garage. Cheap as chips they are if you don’t mind traveling.

I did the belt on my Technics before I sold it, really easy to get it probably because the new models use the same belt. I thought Pioneer and Technics were the same company with different names according to the part being sold.

is anybody still doing hi fi?
The young ones seem content with their telephones.
Yes except I digitised my LPs and sold the record player and many of my LPs.

Realised I no longer listened to the majority and in fact never did. I used to tape the LP as soon as I bought it to a high end cassette player and listened to the cassette (no cracks and popples) or listened to the CD.

Technics and Pioneer are two separate companies.

Technics is part of the Matsushita group (which became Panasonic).

Mine had been dormant so long that, when removed it didn't spring back into a circle. It retained a teardrop shape. The hifi store near me is a Rega stockist and had a selection of parts in stock. I left it there whilst they fully checked it and they gave it a clean bill of health.
My NAD though needed some internal repair because it had been dormant for 28 years 🤕

My NAD lost the display many years ago which meant the remote stop working. Never bothered to get it fixed because by then I only used it to listen to CDs (Cassette player having also packed up) so I never changed the settings any way.

Driving the girls home from swimming we got through the town before they closed it off for the parade

I'm now waiting in my car for my golf lesson which is 11:05 so that the pro can do the siren for the golfers

Is there anything in the modern world that's actually as well accepted and respected as this? I mean closing roads in the middle of the day, standing still. People actually respect it and in modern society that's rare

Long may it continue. We cycled and made sure we stopped for 2 minutes at 11am. We really must never forget.
