3 good parents evening reports yesterday (bit early what's this about)

However youngest stole the show. We say she's a bit of a princess .. always getting her twin to get her coat at school

We walk into the meeting.. pull out a chair for me to seat. She just sits in it like I did it for her

Blooming princess

Went for a walk/scramble accross to Worm's Head on the Gower.
Saw a couple of seals bobbing around and, seemingly, staring at us.
I then came accross about 30 of them lounging around on the rocks, including at least one pup and a few pregnant ones!
That's a first for me.
May post a piccy later ................................ if I remember.
If you're brave enough to do that scramble Slime, you should always spot them. (I did it once and that was enough). I assume you had to peer over the far side. They obviously feel safer sheltering there.
Have you visited Cardigan Bay - Gwbert or Mwnt? We were at the Cliff Hotel (Gwbert) recently watching dolphins (even from our bedroom window) from their grounds. Ive seen them almost every time we walk the cliff path.
They cause "Ooh's" and "Aah's" from all watching.

This started out as a heart warmer - appreciating the wild life during a round.
It should move to "Random Irritations" though.
Its the middle of a fairway the day after a biblical downpour and my ball's in there! 😪20241017_113613.jpg

The gorgeous little 5month old B&W kittens (one male, one female) that my (now deceased) BiL bought himself for his birthday on 1st Sept headed off this morning to a lovely new home. They didn’t have names, he went into hospital with collapsing health before he named them, but at the last moment today we thought of calling them Frank and Stella after a favourite artist of my artist BiL - the girl picking them up loved the names. And a coincidence? They were born on or close to the day 4th May, that Frank Stella himself died.

They are beautiful and so much fun, and they’ve helped us, my wife especially, cope with my BiLs passing just two weeks ago - and so their leaving us has been difficult. But hey…we console ourselves with the thought that we did a grand job fostering them.

When my daughter split up with her prat of a partner. Tigger the troublesome lovable Boxer dog had to go. The kids were gutted. But Tigger is now on a 6 acre property farm in Devon and is living the dream the jammy sod. Sometimes Homer there is a happy ending and things really do happen for a reason. 👍

Did you take the dog to the mysterious "farm in Devon" yourself or did your parents tell you that's where he's gone? Many a kid has fallen for that old chestnut with an unwanted pet.

Hi Sid, Cardigan Bay is a bit too far with our current timetable.
The weather also looks particularly disgusting, too!

No the daughter sold the dog to them. It was the day we had come Back from a Panama Canal cruise. She gets videos sent from
Them. He is happy as a pig in muck. Kids love seeing the videos but get upset afterwards☹️

Brutal. Can't imagine how hard it would be to have to give a dog away.

Freshly made, proper Welsh Cakes are fab😁
When I was in Cardiff for the new year a couple of years back. I was flued up to the eye balls. In bed new years eve at 10.00pm supping hot chocolate with dead man’s fingers rum in it. The only thing that got me through was Welsh cakes which I discovered that weekend. Quite frankly they are a thing of beauty. Absolute gorgeous. Struggle to get them in Mansfield ☹️
