My account is suspended as I've breached their rules. As I never ever ever use it I guess that's a breach! I did email to ask for further information but nothing. Not a loss!

As an outsider looking in it almost looks deliberate, the way he is running it down. It's almost like a City fan buying Utd and then buying duff players, hiring duff managers etc. It's certainly strange, unless you are a billionaire with endless money and no one dares to say no to you?

We’re in Corfu and had to evacuate our hotel late last night due to fires. This was from our room…

It was all very chaotic, no clear instructions other than the name of a nearby town to go to. We did that but no sign of authorities there (lots of fire fighters and activity on the journey - so much respect for the job they’ve done, I’m finding to too hot just walking to the beach in swimwear so how they’re battling fires in all their gear is awesome).

Anyway, I was thinking we’d spend the night in our car but we heard that a nearby school was taking in refugees. But we didn’t know where so went into a bar to ask if they knew anything. It turned out we’d been misinformed - the school wasn’t taking people.

The amazing woman working in the bar, without hesitation and no questions asked said she had an apartment and offered to let us sleep there.

Such kindness to total strangers moved me to tears I can confess. Makes me want to be a better person.

Fortunately, they seem to have things under control here now - still some smoke and helicopters flying around but we’ve been allowed back to our hotel.

So scary , glad your safe. Climate change is scary, looks like this extreme rain is only gonna get worse aswell as Temps rise not to mention the fires.

There’s more than a few theories on this out there in the ether.

Musk is, by many accounts, a man child with childlike petulance that holds many a grudge.

He tried to back out of the Twitter deal sighting spurious nonsense but was held to account by the then Twitter owners and this is his “revenge” running the company down. Or at least there are theories abound that this is what is happening.

Either that, or Musk isn’t nearly as talented a businessman than he would have you believe.

Good to hear you're safe. I thought about you when the news broke that Corfu was affected. What a nightmare. Hopefully safe now and safe travels home.

The firefighters are truly amazing for sure.

What’s scary is idiots starting fires within countries that are surrounded by tinder boxes and dry grass - it’s not down to climate change the current fires just as it wasn’t climate change in the previous years where mass fires have broke out

Are you joking? It’s climate change that fuels extreme weather; heat waves and rain storms.

The tinder box conditions are because of climate change. Someone starting the fires doesn’t change the fact the conditions are perfect for this sort of spread.

Its bizarre. I can view everything, and comment too. I’m not sure what the big ‘X’ denotes. I interact every day with fellow cancer survivors/sufferers and their carers. I’ve not had any warnings for bad behaviour/posts. Confused R Us.

The “extreme rain,” if when it happens is an increase in sea temps causing more evaporation, and leading to more rain in areas prone to… rain. You’ve only got to look at the increase in flooding in the likes of Bangladesh to see what they mean.

The tinder box conditions are because of climate change. Someone starting the fires doesn’t change the fact the conditions are perfect for this sort of spread.

The countries where the fires are happy have been having these sort of fires for decades because of the environment they are in - I spent years living in Cyprus and every one knew the dangers of fires etc and what would happen if they become uncontrollable - as happened a few times.

The climate in these countries has meant the risk has been the same for decades

Yes there is issue with climate change etc but it’s not the reason any times there is a weather issue
