I went to the club today for a swift 9 holes, still on normal greens (hooray) it was bloody freezing but the staff had been at it planting trees today(and before) as well as finishing off a couple of bunkers with more to come.
Its gonna be a real pretty course when the trees grow and Im getting my pension.lol
Only played 9 today and finished 3 over, back to my old nemesis of losing shots on par 3s for no special reason and lost one shot on a par 5 where I made the edge of the green in 2, chose to be clever and chip as my practice chipping beforehand was spot on, I shouldve gone with my first thought of putting. It nearly hit the flag went off the green into the only dog eared spot around this green, chipped again leaving only 2 to 3 foot for par, grounded my putter like never before and left it grinning at me on the edge of the hole.
still it was blooming cold!
