There's Always Next Year

Well, today I played in the final of our clubs Mixed Foursomes knockout competition. Playing with my wife, we had managed to battle our way through the season to get to the final for the second year in a row. It was dry but very breezy here today so it was a fair old test of golf. We battled well and got to the 18th where both sides birdied the hole to go into sudden death. Unfortunately we made a bit of a pigs ear of the first sudden death hole. Too strong an approach put us into serious trouble through the green and I made thinngs worse woth a thinned wedge shot. Our opponents had hit the green in two and our debacle continued to such an extent that a concession was eventually given.

So that's it for another year, it was a good match, nip & tuck all the way, but alas, just not our day.

There's always next year I suppose

Another losing finalist today , oh well as you say "always next time". It's nice to get to the final theres plenty that didnt , good effort mate
