during the winter i use my carry bag, but come summer the good old motocaddy comes out, here lies the problem when i went to use my battery it was as dead as tigers love life (at the present moment) the last time i used it was at the end of season last year.i charged it when i finised my last game, it was off over xmas, then i charged it again, i tried it today and done 6 holes before it died, is it possible to revive it or should i just bin it and get a new one.what is the procedure for your battery when not in use for a couple of months?

Until this winter I have had no problem (I also carry in the winter) by just keeping it fully charged.
However when I went to use it it lasted for about 13 holes.
Arriving home put it on charge but the indication light never registered it fully charged.
Ended up buying a new one.
When I took the old one out of it's carry bag (to take down the dump) was surprised to find at bottom of it a slight bulge at the base.
Now I keep the battery in my workshop which is unheated, and believe the battery was affected by the severe weather this winter. So am keeping the new one in a warmer place from now on.
Not sure what temperature the components off a modern battery would adversely affected.

I had a GK battery that seemed to be charging fine and then died on the course every round after about 14 holes. Phoned up and they picked it up the next day with a brand new replacement. Only been able to use it once since so going to give it a go tomorrow

I had two car batteries hooked up to a charger in tandem, life testing a stairlift to destruction and one battery blew up. It blew a hole out the corner about 50 mm in size. Lucky no one was there at the time. I’ve done this for years and that’s never happened even though these batteries get hammered.

So, it’s possible there could have been a dud or faulty cell that’s overheating causing the bulge. This would also explain the battery not going the whole 18.
