The Returned (Les Revenants)

For me it's superb, and although I've only seen 2 of them, it's up there with The Killing, Borgen and The Wire. I can't really understand the argument about subtitles putting people off as to me they make you concentrate more instead of surfing the net, updating Facebook, reading tweets or whatever people do nowadays whilst watching TV. And as you are concentrating more you quickly become immersed in it. Plus the mighty Mogwai have done the music for Les Revenants, which is a bonus.

I'm also liking The Americans on ITV, it's very cool, which is a phrase I never thought I'd say about a program on ITV on Saturday nights..

Well - Ep.3 - Julia. What was that all about then - curiouser and curiouser

Victor - her guardian angel? Lena's scar getting bigger? Adele thinking it's OK to snog her 7 yrs dead fiancee. And who killed the nosey neighbour - Victor or that guy in the hoodie? - or are they the one and the same person? Or is the neighbour actually dead? And so the bearded guy in the mountains last week is the elder brother of the bar owner - so clearly mr beardy - il retourne aussi.

Ep. 4 - bring it on.

Superb, just when I thought it was going to get a touch boring 2/3 of the way through, wallop, back to being sublime for the finale.

The way I saw it, the woman with the weird who has the scars is the woman who was stabbed in the subway 7 years ago.
It was late though and I'd been on the Bourbon so I may be completely wrong :D

Have all episodes on Sky planner...yet to watch...must not read above posts! :p

You need to catch up. I try not to say too much about what I think is going as I think this might spoil it for others. I like to take such serials an episode at a time building on what we already know - and try and not to project the final outcome or answer to the mystery. So for instance I will avoid Digital Spy.

Well we're half way through and I still couldn't call what's going to happen! Think its something to do with unresolved issues. Camiles sister bunking off, Simons suicide and victors death. And the strange goings on at the dam?

Problem is that it obviously can't be real - because they died...we think. And in real life people don't in general resurrect. So the question is - what are we actually watching - because we are not watching something that can be explained in any rational way. Then again - I believed Twin Peaks was real...

But imaginary people don't hit you over the head with a bottle! And what was with the dead rabbit in the bin last week? Seems to have been brushed away and not mentioned again?

Exactly - the reality we are watching doesn't add up at all. This just doesn't seem like it is a story that has a supernatural explanation - but what other explanation can there be for the dead coming back to life - so what are we actually watching? I have my thoughts but I won't share them.
