The quest for new bats continues.......

Old forum joke LP

I speak from experience with the 63's, they are lovely. Best bats I've ever owned.

Get on the track man with your current 6 iron and a prospective 6 iron and see what's what.

The numbers may open your eyes.

See pm Gareth, hit the 5 and 7 back to back, hard pushed to tell the difference other than the flight being a touch lower.... 10ft ish....

Got the shafts for 35 brand new with grips off eBay. Was expecting to pay a lot more but guess I got lucky. 35 for pro to fit them, then sold the dynalites for 30 on here. So 40 quid for brand new fitted shafts that give me a much better flight.

I had the CB TP's they looked good and played well however I ended up with a set of Ping i15's and much prefer them. I've demoed the i20's which have better feel and more forgiveness and I promised myself that when the i15's go they'll be replaced with the i20's however I can't justify changing the i15's as they're still in excellent condition and do everything I ask of them.

I've seen pictures of the i25's however if they're a compromise between the i20's and G25's I may give them a miss.

Forget the age thing with the Pings they're good irons however if you hit your irons high you may need a custom shaft in the i20's as I found them to be higher launching than the i15's which have a similar launch to the CB's.

Dont spend money on new clubs, it wont be the answer to your problem.

Learn how to punch the ball with a lower flight, get some coaching from a good Links Pro.

I'm another Orka fanboy and cosmetically they tick the boxes or alternatively the AP2s. Merv79 had a demo one at the range tonight and its lovely.

Someone suggested the re shafting option, if I do this I may as well reshaft the razr's ;)

Have you though about looking for a SH set of MP 62 with S 300.

I think the 62 are way better than the 63 and i imag you could get a set cheap. I still love mine and use them for practice and the odd 9 holes in the summer.
