Great course this it used to host the benson and hedges on tour back in the 90`s.

Yeah, superb course. Played it last summer for free as part of a deal with the leaderboard golf centre.

Gonna be playing it in the next month as well, maybe even twice.

Stay out of the sand - last time I played it I swear I saw a Camel Train going through the bunker on the 4th.
If you just roll into it you could take 2 or 3 decent sand shots and still be in it....

lots of fairway bunkers.

Also watch our for the 11th par 5, its a slicer's nightmare! Water the full length of the hole. Was goin round nicely when I played there until I went 7 off the tee!

Well worth it, it is a very good course which is normally in great condition. Great for all standards of players.

Wrap up at this time of year. It's a little exposed (well quite actually) and it gets a bit breezy (and cold)

Might take the missus with me as they have a Spa as well. Could be ideal.

Best thing about the place is the Japanese bath in the changing rooms - it is lovely!

Especially when you consider the history. In the 90s it cost something lik 28 milliom to build, probably the dearest ever i n the UK, and was one of only about half a dozen members-only courses - joining fee of about 35k! Then, it went bust, twice I think, and a lot of members lost in the region of 28k. Now you can play it for £25!! Sort of goes to show how a plan can go wrong! Nice course though and a bargain at these deals
