Bunker sand - looks identical to the stuff we are putting in our rebuilt bunkers and as a sand replacement programme throughout. Soft and deep and difficult. I am watching very carefully how they play their bunker shots.

There is a lot of very poor golf being played so far.
Classic links conditions so scoring should be low.
Some fairly evil pin spots mind, especially 5, 8 and 18th.

Lets see how it pans out after the start times are reversed tomorrow. The only guy this afternoon in no trouble is Kapur. Hope Woods keeps this round going. Back to his best after a very indifferent opening shot
