Why ?I know the weather has been nice but the scoring is very low. Not sure Portrush should be having it again.

It's the same at most links courses when the weather is calm. They are frequently a bit toothless if the wind and rain don't come, for the pro's.I know the weather has been nice but the scoring is very low. Not sure Portrush should be having it again.
If that's how you've taken his comments then you've completely missed the point.....Well played Scottie, but let's move on now as it only meant something to him for a couple of minutes didn't it?![]()
I’m not sure what you’ve been watching but that’s some statement given the event that we’ve just witnessed. Argueably the most scenic venue on the current rota, the biggest crowds (apart from St.Andrew’s) on the rota and a course universally praised by all the pros. Scoring was pretty low because of the perfect weather (lack of wind), the receptive fairways and greens and the pristine condition of the course. Maybe you’d prefer to see the players blown sideways by the wind on the North Atlantic coast. Well played ScottieI know the weather has been nice but the scoring is very low. I feel like Royal Portrush is becoming a very popular Open venue… It’s certainly up there for me as one of the best. I don’t buy into the St Andrews stuff as much as everyone else seems to.
Scottie was brilliant. I don’t really think he hit top gear either.
A few good holes but looked pretty easy all in all. Maybe just me but I'd much rather see a level par score winning at a brutal carnoustieI’m not sure what you’ve been watching but that’s some statement given the event that we’ve just witnessed. To each his own I guess but I think I know which most viewers would prefer.A few good holes but looked pretty easy all in all. Maybe just me but I'd much rather see a level par score winning at a brutal carnoustie
