The must have car security system is to own a 16 year old Nissan Sunny - not a chance of it being nicked. Not a chance.

When I broke my leg a bit back, I unwittingly left it unlocked on the road for three months - nobody even looked at it....

There was an old chap that worked with me that had a Lada and he used to leave it on his drive with the keys in.
He came into work one morning moaning that his car had been tampered with. The thiefs took his petrol and left his car.
Nowadays the petrol would be worth more than the car anyway.
