The new GM magazine

Non-Member Handicaps: Good article on Page 28 (aside from the grainy picture). Would have to add I dropped out of my club last spring & had my handicap transferred to my local 9 holes club who now look after my CONGU handicap for the princely sum of £15.90 per annum. I play roughly 24-30 Medal rounds a year on the Mid-Amateur Tour. Every round is uploaded within a day for the Handicap Secretary to add onto your current handicap.

This isn't feasible for everyone but there are various other Tours, tournaments, events operated under CONGU rules which can be fed back onto your official handicap. Being a Club Member is not the be all & end all anymore when it comes to a recognised handicap (on the contrary in my opinion having had to endure playing against club Bandits over the years)

I'm hoping they do a part 2 and 3 in future mags

You could feature in a special section about "The Aged Golfer" and embellish it with tales about your Titanium hips tripping the alarm in American Golf.

we could call it "Chris, The Man Who Still Can (With A Bit Of Help)" :) Funded by adverts from Tena Man its bound to be a popular addition :)

I'm never sure why Mike Harris bothers with the like of that Tappin fella when you come up with such ingenious ideas for the mag

I hope none survive from this weekends Scum v Ping trip as Smiffy has just posted that he has got some pink to wear and also white trousers - all so 1978 !
